Mestalla Stadium Location: How to Get There by Subway and Bus

Mestalla Stadium is situated in the heart of Valencia, making it accessible through various transportation options suitable for international visitors and locals alike.

Driving offers freedom, but be warned: street parking near Mestalla is extremely limited, especially on match days. To avoid circling for hours, we highly recommend booking a spot in advance at a nearby public garage, such as Parking Primado Reig or Parking Severo Ochoa, both a short walk from the gates. If you are just visiting for a tour on a non-match day, you will find navigation much easier, but securing a paid spot is always the stress-free move.

Valencia’s bus network (EMT) covers every corner of the city, making it a flexible option if you are coming from the beach or the outskirts. Look for lines 10, 32, 71, 93, or C2, all of which have stops within a couple of blocks of the stadium, specifically along Avenida de Aragón or Blasco Ibáñez. The buses are modern and air-conditioned, offering a comfortable ride that drops you right into the pre-game buzz without the hassle of navigating underground.

If you want the fastest route from the city center or the airport, the Metro is your best friend. The Aragón station (Lines 5 and 7) is practically on the stadium’s doorstep—you will see the massive stands the moment you surface from underground. Alternatively, you can take Line 3 to the Facultats station, which is just a five-minute stroll away. This is the most reliable way to beat match-day traffic and get straight to the action.

Arriving at the stunning Estació del Nord places you in the heart of Valencia, about 1.5 miles from the stadium. From here, you have two great choices: jump on the Metro (Xàtiva station is right outside) and take Line 5 directly to Aragón in under 15 minutes, or grab a taxi for a quick sprint to the ground. If you are coming in on the high-speed AVE to Joaquín Sorolla station, the free shuttle bus connects you to Estació del Nord, putting you on the same easy path to the pitch.

Valencia is famous for being flat and bike-friendly, so why not ride to the home of the Bats? The city is covered in bike lanes, and you can easily rent a Valenbisi (the public bike-share system). There are multiple docking stations surrounding the stadium, meaning you can dock your ride and be at the turnstiles in seconds. It is eco-friendly, cheap, and arguably the best way to see the city’s architecture as you approach the venue.

For the full local experience, nothing beats walking to Mestalla. It is a scenic 25-to-30-minute trek from the historic Ciutat Vella (Old Town) or the Cathedral. You will cross the beautiful Turia Gardens—the riverbed turned park—and head down the wide avenues leading to the stadium. On match days, this walk becomes a pilgrimage, as thousands of fans flood the streets, building an electric atmosphere long before kickoff.
